    The School of Chemistry will offer a small number of scholarships for students starting a full-time MSc program in the 2023-2024 academic session.

     

     The Tercentenary Masters Scholarship helps outstanding postgraduate taught masters students to study in the School of Chemistry by providing for some of the costs of their training.

     

    Each scholarship covers the University tuition fee and is open to both UK and International students.  The scholarship is tenable for one academic session.  This award cannot be held concurrently with fully-funded scholarships. It can, however, be combined with other partial funding.  Please note these are not transferable if you need to defer.

     

    Applying

     

     

    Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.

     

    The scholarship deadline is 23:59 GMT 20th April 2023.

     

    In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.  Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.

     

    The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd our web-based information portal at https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk

     

    When logging in to MyEd, you will need your University User Name and password.  If you require assistance, please go to http://www.ed.ac.uk/student-systems/support-guidance

     

     

    Selection Procedure

     

    The School Scholarships Allocation Committee will meet in April 2023 to select the scholarship holder. To be eligible you must hold an offer and have applied for the scholarship. All eligible offer holders including the winner will be announced thereafter.  The School will offer scholarships to offer holders based on their MSc application taking into consideration academic qualifications and results as well as other achievements and a supporting statement.  Scholarships will be offered based on merit and to the highest caliber applicants (see Scholarship criteria) and based on the candidate’s application for the Master's course.

      • MSc Analytical Chemistry
      • MSc Medicinal & Biological Chemistry
      • MSc Materials Chemistry
    • Applicants to the MSc Research program will not be considered for this award.

    Academic merit and supporting statement with candidates requiring the equivalent of a first-class honors degree or upper second-class honors degree from a recognized university or institution.
