About the scholarship:
This scholarship supports Ph.D. students in the Faculty of Science undertaking travel to attend conferences, fieldwork, etc. as part of a Study Away request.
Eligibility for the :
- Applicants must be enrolled in Ph.D. - Science students (MPhil students are not eligible).
- Candidates should be confirmed in their candidature.
- Applicants should undertake travel before their maximum course duration date and undertake travel before the award of Ph.D.
- Candidates should submit their applications before submitting their thesis.
Selection criteria:
Schools in the Faculty of Science independently rank applications for the awarding of the Science Abroad Traveling Scholarship.
Benefits:
- The major award of up to $2,000 for costs associated with international travel (e.g. in-person conferences or fieldwork).
- Minor award of up to $500 for costs associated with participation in online conferences that would normally be held outside Australia.
