Background:

UNE alumnus Dr. Don Stammer and his wife, alumna Lee Stammer, have endowed a scholarship to express “appreciation to UNE for the long and happy associations we’ve had with the University.” They have stated that the funds are to be used by UNE to provide financial support to students of promise but who, for any reason, are disadvantaged, including Indigenous students.

Application Conditions

Eligibility for the Don and Lee Stammer Scholarship:

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or permanent residents as defined by the Commonwealth.
Applicants should be enrolled/enrolling in their 1st/2nd/3rd/4th Year.
Academic Requirement: ATAR of at least 75 (New Students) or GPA of 5 (Continuing Students).
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander: The applicant must identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and provide documentation according to the University’s Confirmation of Aboriginality and Torres Strait Islander Identity Procedures.
Students should be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage or physical, Intellectual, or other disability.
